Fantastic music and performances, wonderful choreography and absolutely beautiful
costumes and staging. The interpretation of Cher's life with 3 amazing performers was
truly original. All 3 captured Cher's voice, look and style perfectly. Last night's opening
performance ended with a standing ovation and the audience remaining on their . feet
singing and dancing the last number. The show was almost 3 hours and I felt it was
somewhat too long, however, I couldn't recommend which number to cut ... they were
all great! Also, the "Sonny" performer looked and sounded just like him. Treat yourself
to this show ... it will definitely be a hit on Broadway!

TOO LONG!
Needs to be shortened! Too much talking.
Too much about Sonny!! Should have
focused more on her talent, songs and when
she was on her own... We were bored after
One hour. I love Cher! This play was way too
long!! A lot of things were irrelevant...
Music was very good! Of course, Cher's
wardrobe were amazing!! But, so much can
be removed. How about adding the ship
with sailors and Cher in her hot costume
singing, If I could turn back Time. All of it!!

THE CHER MUSICAL
Was ok didn’t like the 3 Cher’s talking to each other was kind of weird.
First two Cher’s didn’t sound like her. 3rd Cher was excellent. No
mention of Chaz with Sonny Bono but mention Elisha blue with Gregg
Alman would of liked to see more of Cher’s sassy ness, humor.
Sonny character was very good
1st act needs improvement had a hard time keeping interested.
Second act much better.
Sat center balcony at oriental theatre faces of actors hard to see.
Beautiful theatre. Parking very expensive and not too many places
nearby for a quick drink.

CHER SHOW
The 3 Cher’s are worth the price of admission,
with all three having great voices and solid
impersonations of Cher. However, the story
made me feel that Cher was a victim
throughout her life, and despite great fame
and money, is still looking for happiness. Bit of
a downer. Didn’t get any sense of empowering
woman. If that’s what they are going for, then
they did a good job. Left me with a bad taste in
my mouth, and doubt this show in its current
form would make it on Broadway. Seen over
250 shows, 50 on Broadway. Stephanie Block is
a star and just seeing her perform was a gift.

A WORK IN PROGRESS
Watching The Cher Show on opening night, I was reminded of reading the forth or fifth
draft of a good story. You know there's something there, and with some edits, it could
be really good.
My thought - and hope - is that the producers intentionally put in the 3 hours of
material (far too long) with the thought of trimming it to, say, 2:30 based on audience
feedback.
With shortening and tightening up of the many story lines, this'll be a great show. I
remember seeing an early version of Spamalot pre-Broadway, and had exactly the same
reaction. It was shortened and tightened, and the rest is history.
To be clear, the audience thoroughly loved the show, with an enthusiastic standing
ovation all the way around. So, perhaps I'm being too critical, but in my view it's a good
show that could become a great one.

ENTERTAINING BUT NEEDS EDITING
The show was very entertaining & entirely too long. Some serious editing needs to
occur before a Broadway opening or it will fail miserably!! The Bob Mackie number
was, perhaps, the highlight of the show, however, this isn't the Cher/Bob Mackie
show. It's Cher. Overuse of the 'Bang, Bang" song. The conception of a "show
within a show" completely fell apart/disappeared in the 2nd act. I think the 3 Cher
concept works but Stephanie Block is the highlight of this show. Overall, it was fun,
I'm glad I saw it but it wasn't very memorable. The editing of the show's book will
either make or break this show.

UNREALIZED POTENTIAL
Want to love this show... I am not a Cher fanatic by
any means but grew up watching Cher and have
expectations. First off positives: 1.) set works and
allows the show to keep moving. 2.) the costumes are
incredible and they had foresight to incorporate Bob
Mackie into the storyline also. 3.) the three leads had
great voices that quota work can vocally carry off
Cher’s unique qualities. That being said the three
leads have the vocals but have not quite achieved
Cher’s swagger and attitude. This show will never
succeed until they master those qualities. Cher has
the ability to fill the stage without moving far from
center. They are all slightly tentative and that distracts
from the show’s overall effectiveness. The youngest
Cher needs to not stay in little girls clothes for so
long. It makes initial scenes with Sunny Bono seem
creepy. Maybe replace with a child for that scene and
have Cher singing to side like watching video. Then
you can bring in her as teen Cher. This show is one
that has unrealized potential if its transitions are
smoother and its leads find a way to unleash that
swagger that is Cher.
