Being a Cher fan 45 years I was taking this
grain of salt. Let’s not forget it’s not Cher. So
expectations were low. I enjoyed it he’ll lot
more than thought. Could not pick but I drove
5 hours see it. Was it worth it? Yes

CLEVER PLAY ON MERGING TIME PERIODS
Loved the method of merging various life periods rather than shelving
them into separate, distinct layers. Life never happens that clearly.
The closing scene depicts an almost life circle, what most of us will
experience along with Cher. Caught her unmistakable wit throughout.
Will go again!

ENTERTAINING SHOW
I love Broadway shows and although I wanted to love it unequivocally, it
does not stand next to classics such as Hamilton, Jersey Boys, The Book
of Mormons or other Broadway greats. While the costumes were
exquisite, the 3 Cher’s woven and seen together was confusing-I would
have liked seeing their progression separately. The dancing was
amazing, beyond amazing and a sensuality that captured Cher’s essence.
The singing throughout was excellent.
The first act was vibrant but ithe second act was on the slow side. I loved
the history of the Sonny and Cher show and the nostalgia pieces but
unfortunately something was missing for me. When I left Hamilton I was
on such a high and could not stop thinking about it and kept singing the
songs but I did not feel as intense for this musical and I really wanted to.
I think the ping-ponging of the three different Cher’s left me with a
headache and much confusion to their purpose in advancing the story.

WOWED THE AUDIENCE
Voices were very powerful and dancing was exceptional. Cher’s storyline was clearly
portrayed in this stunning performance. The audience was totally awed and responded
accordingly. I’d highly recommend this show as it covered all the bases of
entertaining...fabulous singing,, dancing, costumes and a thought provoking story.

LONG LIVE GODESS CHER
The above review is just silly. Every single
thing in Chers life can not be in the show. If it
were, the show would never end!...she's 72!
The show by no means lacked emotion...in
fact, there are a few emotionally charged
moments that were beautifully acted. The
show doesnt make her look like a victim or
cougar. It makes her look HUMAN. (Despite
popular belief, she is human! ;)) It illustrates
things that die hard wouldnt know...he
money struggles with Sonny, stage fright,
insecurities, dyslexia, heartbreak, and the
price of fame. So many actual cher quotes
are woven into the script and I think the way
the songs are woven in work wonderfully to
drive the story. It's not perfect. A couple
moments may need tweaking. Young
Cher=no. Her voice is too high and it's like
she wasn't even trying to be Cher at all. I
forsee a re cast. Stephanie as "star" Cher is
BRILLIANT. Especially her act 2. She did her
homework...and she brought me to tears.

VERY ENTERTAINING, GREAT MUSIC, COSTUMES, DID NOT DISAPPOINT
The show was very entertaining. The 3 Cher's really worked for me. I loved the 3 stages
of Cher's life. Costumes were outstanding. I liked that Bob Mackie was a part of the
show too. Very entertaining for anyone who appreciates Cher's music. They did a nice
job using her music to tell her story.
This was a story about Cher, not Chaz!
They did a good job with the time allowed to tell the story of Cher and that is how it
should have been.
A very talented group.

POORLY WRITTEN, EXCELLENT EXECUTION
Stage design and costumes were flawless. The talent
was exceptional. The storyline however was a bit
confusing and focused mostly on the Cher and Sonny
period. We were very entertained but it could have
been a show about global warming, with this cast still
a hit. Needs a rewrite before it hits Broadway. Unless
you really follow cheers life from birth to Sonny's
death, you may be lost and not understand many of
the references. However my 24 y.o. non Cher
following husband, was "really entertained but had
no idea what was going on". I look forward to seeing
the improvements made and seeing it again in New
York. It was well worth the $90 a seat I paid. Far
better quality production than what we see on
Broadway usually. Just had higher expectation and
wanted more of the new, post Sonny Cher. Very
happy we went.
