What could have been music magic was totally overshadowed by sound engineers overpowering the venue. Every sound was amplified to a point where nothing was distinguishable. Vocals were lost, leads were lost, background instruments were lost. I was disappointed. Maybe the general public loved the thumping, rhythm heavy vibe but I can't help thinking that Joe's artistry with the guitar was lost due to the mix and the desire to keep turning up the volume.

UNINSPIRED PERFORMANCE

Millions of sixteenth notes from his strings, but the music lacked flow, cohesion, and inspiration. The sound was loud and lacked separation of all musicians. The keyboards said Roland, but sounded like Casio. Almost never heard the backup singer because she was drowned out. I hoped to be overwhelmed by a guitar virtuoso, but was overwhelmed by noise. Clearly others liked it. I would rather listen to El Javi at the local bar.

DEAFENING AND DISAPPOINTED BY POOR SOUND CHECK AND QUALITY AT THE 3.18.22 AC SHOW

I took my wife to AC for her 65th bday & we were so looking forward to a great performance. Disappointed is mild for I paid for the seats. The show was so loud none of Joes lyrics were audible. He does but on a thrilling show - his guitar virtuoso skills were most appreciated on the acoustic encore Woke Up Dreaming. To top this off a patron 4 rows ahead of us did not sit for the entire 2 hour performance. Like I came to see her unflattering body weave back and forth and distract the other patrons. When the usher was approached to ask the intoxicated patron to sit down the usher said” she paid her admission price for the ticket and she can stand the entire show. I will never attend another concert at the Borgata nor will I go to see Joe live again. I will stay subscribed to his u tube performances if I need a visual fix of his skill.

FIRE THE SOUND ENGINEER

This was one of the worst concerts ever because there volume was so loud for this venue that you could hear Joe's voice. Bass drum and guitarist was to loud snd took away from the main act. did the sound engineer even take the headset off and listen? too bad so Joe was amazing.

TOO LOUD

could not understand any of the lyrics it was so loud. he played his ass off but could not enjoy it. why does it have to be so loud that it ruins the show?

TECHINICIANS

I thought my seating selection would be pretty good. Center stage orchestra. Instead, my seat was directly behind the sound/lighting technician who choose to stand and bob up and down to the music through the entire show. Looking at his back was quite distracting and the music was loud and the flashing stage light in the face didn’t help either. Waste of money.

VOLUME LEVELS WERE DEAFENING

Joe plays with intensity and I liked his performance. Unfortunately, it was so loud that we hardly heard any words all night, and our whole body vibrated from the amplification. I would have left if we didn't have ear plugs. I heard comments from other people about the sound like "I'll talk to you in 2 days when I can hear again".
