The World Premiere Of How To Catch Creation
Winner of the Lorraine Hansberry Award amongst other accolades, playwright Christina Anderson has drawn much critical acclaim for her powerful mediations on relationships and the human condition. Her latest work comes to life under the direction of NYC-based performance artist and theater director Niegel Smith as part of the Goodman Theater's 2019 season.
How To Catch Creation is a thought-provoking drama that explores the act of creating and its manifestations in life, family, parenthood and art. It's story of love, heartbreak, longing and weathering life's storms as told through the eyes of a black, queer and feminist writer whose life changes when her partner announces some unexpected and life-changing news that echoes over four decades. Poetic and deeply moving, the complex portrait of the finding and following of passions resonates with tenderness, grace and humanity.
