What a show! The talent was phenomenal. Jasmine Amy Rogers was spectacular, adorable and owns the part of Betty!
It is fun, inspiring and a must see for all theater lovers!

A DO NOT MISS SHOW!
Fabulous music, wonderful story, funny, gorgeous costumes! A new huge hit, loved every minute of this fast paced show and will go again, this time with my children! Loved it!

FABULOUS AND FUN!
Every aspect of Boop the Musical was fantastic: rich, powerful singing, energetic dancing, incredibly creative set design, lively music, inventive costumes and even a precious little puppy puppet! I was so impressed by the creativity and attention to detail of this fabulous, fun musical! I had no idea what to expect from this show included in my subscription to Broadway in Chicago, but it turned out to be one of my favorites from many years as a subscriber. During intermission, other patrons and I couldn't refrain from raving about the show to each other. What a fun, uplifting musical that I will absolutely recommend to my friends!

SIMPLY SPECTACULAR!
This show has greatness built into every scene, costume, note, and choreographed step. A must see, do not miss show! A Star is Born…Jasmine! The cartoons I watched as a young girl of this confident, fun, lovable character has been bought to life beautifully and given her very own happy ending and love- Dwayne (Ainsley)..unforgettable!..Angelica astounded along with every member of the cast from the dazzling opening scene, through sing along songs, to the happy ending! …. Makes you dream and embrace the real you all at the same time. Boop was what was missing…. For all of us. Thanks!

BOOP DE BOOP
Wow- enjoyed every moment of the Wednesday night performance. The cast is amazing and I could not get the songs out of my head. I’ve already booked another date before it moves to NYC.
Jasmine is Betty Boop! Just beautiful sounding and adorable.
The connect on stage between Jasmine and Ainsley is felt to the top of the balcony.
So imaginative, clever, easy to watch just solid Broadway FUN.
Thank You Foster, Mitchell and Martin for bringing us Boop!

JUST GREAT!
Saw it Sunday evening and loved it! Fun from start to finish. Highly recommend for friends, couples, and families. Is it perfect? No, but a great way to enjoy a couple of hours with big musical numbers, dancing, and super staging? You bet!

FUNNY AND FUN
I saw Boop over the weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know if I enjoyed the singing and dancing more or the set decorations more. The scenes went from B&W interior and background to mimic the comic book and character - and then changed to Color for the present day. Jasmine Rogers is so great in this. I don't know how she keeps up the pace and energy.
My only complaint is when it gets a little "dramatic" and it slows down, but then the music starts and its off again. I remember 2 songs standing out in the show. And I think David Foster did a remarkable job for his first Broadway show. This show should stay in Chicago longer. If we can have Hamilton in Chicago for 4 months we can have Boop in the city.

AWESOME
It's a must see show. It was fabulous. I enjoyed myself very much. I even broke out of a hospital to go see her.

JASMINE AMY ROGERS - WOW!
Super fun show! Great tunes, great dancing, amazing sets and costumes, but the most amazing thing about it was Jasmine Amy Rogers. This woman is in a category of one and if you're smart, you'll get a ticket so you can say I saw her in the Broadway tryout that catapulted her to stardom. She's that good. Don't miss it!

WOW!!
The entire cast was phenomenal (AMAZING ensemble!), but Jasmine Amy Rogers - WOW!!! At the end of her big Act II number the audience leapt to its feet, cheering, shouting, whistling...Jasmine had to just stand and wait until we pulled ourselves together (which took a while) - a literal show stopper! The only other time I've seen that happen was for Carol Channing.
The show itself is delightful. Sweet story with lots of heart, toe-tapping songs, super-human choreography (musical theater really should be an Olympic sport - Broadway dancers are athletes!), stunning set and costume design, magical and playful stagecraft - and original! It's not a book I've already read, a movie I've already watched, a play I've already seen. It's a character I know of her (and her signature "Boop-boop-a-doop") but that's it. Fresh, original story, great book, great score, great performances. Just the happy, uplifting thing so many of us need these days.
And Jasmine Amy Rogers --- WOW!!!

SPECTACULAR
The show was spectacular from start to finish ! The woman who played Betty Boop was just phenomenal as was every member of the cast. I was blown away and smiling from ear to ear during the entire show! My mother and I enjoyed it so so much. I felt transported to another time and place as if I was in the story. It was just amazing ! A must see.

GREAT SHOW
Amazing music and the acting was phenomenal! Love love loved it! Felt like all the actors were really in character and loved their characters! Just all around a great show night!

BIG BROADWAY MUSICAL
I thoroughly enjoyed myself last night at the first preview of BOOP the musical. The casting is wonderful all around (as much a I loved seeing Faith Prince perform in person, her character could be but cut and nothing would be lost). The costumes are amazing. The set may rely too much on projections but the costume budget made up for it. It has big Broadway numbers including some amazing tap work. The book may still need a little bit of work but if you are looking for a big Broadway musical you will not be disappointed.

GREAT ACTORS
In general this a lovely show but it’ could use some salt to take down some of the sugar. The actors are great but it needs some more work to make it great. Add a little honest comedic reaction to second act where niece enters with Betty. And the Duane and Betty scenes except for the cabaret need more zing. Otherwise why have them? The flutter isn’t enough. But these actors pull this show off.

BETTY BOOP
I was going to only give this 2 stars but Jasmine Amy Rogers was phenomenal as Betty Boop. Other than her, the rest was a mess. The story was all over the place and made me less and less interested as it went on. Too many characters thrown in that didn’t matter. The musical needed more BOOP - she was there star and there were several scenes and songs that didn’t involve her at all. Would have enjoyed the story more if it followed the REAL story of the woman behind the inspiration of Betty Boop character. Instead it was her in 2023 befriending a teenager and getting into politics. Tried way too hard to be current. And there was zero chemistry between her and her love interest. I’d be surprised if this goes to Broadway. However - Jasmine Any Rogers definitely deserves to be.

BOOP-BOOP-BE-DOOP
It’s a fun show, the cast is extremely strong, and the choreography is Broadway-worthy. But it could benefit from fewer extraneous plot lines. Teen girls should like it, given its girl power theme.
Stop by Miller’s Pub for a pre show dinner or after-show drink.

TOO MUCH AND TOO LITTLE
The music was forgettable, the lyrics insufferable and the plot was indecipherable. Aside from those things: Great Show…Not.
It seems the play could not figure out if it was
1. A love story
2. A political/satirical romp … or
3. A Wizard of Oz knock-off
Boop is a play that doesn’t know itself.
