Mostly a great rocking show that had a lot of people on their feet singing and dancing. But while Michael McDonald can still tickle the keyboards, I'm not sure about his singing. He was hitting the high notes, but his phrasing/timing was very late & he left words out. It was beyond distracting.

DOOBIE BROTHERS SPOKANE
The sound mixing seemed off; much too harsh and, dare I say it, too loud. This harshness detracted from the evening. The band played for 2.5 hours; that was great. A mixture of old and new songs. Michael McDonald still can sing great.
Covid-wise; mask compliance was about 25% and no enforcement; if that worries you, probably should stay home. But why did the band ask the audience to sing along? That is a well-described way to start a super-spreader event. That is a disappointing oversite.

MUDDY SOUND
I love the Doobie Brothers, but I was really disappointed with the sound mix. In particular, Michael McDonald's mic washed out horribly. The bassist and percussionist were hard to hear, too. And Michael McDonald was off on his vocal timing.
But the harmonies were tight, and the other vocals and musicians sounded great.

BAND SOUNDED GREAT, CROWD NOT FESTIVE AND BORING
We had 3rd row tickets, because of the rain lawn crowd was allowed to fill empty seats. Shortly after the concert began the people around me became upset because I was dancing and by 'Dependin' On You', the 6th song in their set, we decided to leave. Crowd was atrocious and wanted to sit the entire time. Doobies sounded fantastic, too bad the crowd sucked

LEAVE MICHAEL MCDONALD AT HOME
Everything was great, until Michael McDonald started. The band sounded wonderful. They played like the recordings sounded. Great song list and the harmonies were spot on. Then, Michael started.... I don't know if he's had a stroke, if he was on drugs or alcohol or if he just totally forgot what he was doing. The eye rolls from the rest of the band were quite evident. It was painful to listen to and watch. His timing was off and he acted like he forgot the words. He was just horrible! Without him it was a fabulous concert. Note: I drove 3 hours to see them!!

GREAT TO SEE, BUT A TOUGH LISTEN AT TIMES!
Saw the Doobies last night in Puyallup WA…very impressed by Patrick Simmons and Tom Johnstown’s vocals…sadly not with Michael McDonald’s!…who truly was the draw to see them having reunited with the guys…Left wondering if he was sick, or as some in these reviews made mention to a stroke…but doubt that was it. Honestly, it sounded like he’s blown his voice out!…pitchy at time…severely reduced vocal range. I’ve seen MM solo many times…but that was years ago…perhaps Father Time has caught this fine vocalist…the band was tight…great sax/guitar work. A bit louder than it needed to be. Glad I got to see this ensemble, but wished it had been many years ago!

DOOBIES AT THE MAJESTIC THEATER DALLAS
Seen a lot of concerts at the Majestic. Think it has wonderful acoustics. That being said...the sound mix for the Doobies was way off. Would really have liked to hear the vocals. They were overpowered by the instruments. This was the first time I sat in the upper balcony. Maybe that's a factor. I do know that the seats up there felt like they were the originals from the 20's (the 1920's). Think the City of Dallas could stand to throw a little money toward this historic and beautiful old theater. Excellent musicians - bad sound mix. Enjoyed it but could have been so much better.
