Looking back over 50 years of comic genius
Since opening in 1959, Chicago's Second City have given us some of the greatest comedians to ever walk the earth. Among the school of comedy's many prestigious alumni are Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Steve Carell, Joan Rivers, Stephen Colbert, Rachel Dratch, Chris Farley. Tina Fey, and Bill Murray to name just a few.
The Best of Second City recreates some of the company's greatest moments from its 50 year history. Performed by Second City's supremely talented touring company, you can expect this show to also present brand new skits and sketches, which may well establish themselves as part of the company canon in the future! It's also a chance to check out the next generation of comics, no doubt soon to be seen on SNL and on the big screen.
