The sound and the spirit of the Monterey Jazz Festival comes to you as this tour takes to venues across the country, celebrating 65 years of the legendary jazz festival. Featuring an array of the genre's brightest stars including Christian Sands, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kurt Elling, Lakecia Benjamin, Yasushi Nakamura, and Clarence Penn, don't miss your chance to move and groove when this very special event heads to a stage near you!
Co-founded by jazz and popular music critic Ralph J. Gleason and jazz disc jockey Jimmy Lyons, the first Monterey Jazz Festival was held in California's Monterey Fairgrounds in 1958. Hosting over 500 artists over a three-day period, it is one of the most beloved and acclaimed jazz festivals in the world, with top performers including Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Dave Bruebeck, Miles Davies, B.B King and many, many more have made appearances during its history.
