Two Bonafide Ranchera Divas Share The Stage
Two tour de force ranchera performers are set to share the Rosemont Theatre stage this fall for a special one-night-only performance! Both Yolanda del Rio and Beatriz Adriana have carved a lasting legacy in their home country of Mexico and beyond, and now bring their vibrant histories, hit-filled catalogues and soaring, emotional music to the Windy City.
Iconic ranchera diva del Rio is known for heart-string plucking wailing style, imbuing each of her lovelorn anthems with a bittersweet melancholy. Coming to prominence in the 70s and 80s, she transitioned into the world of film, starring in the 1979 classic 'La Hija de Nadie', and continues to tour, release and perform all over the world. Fellow Latin pop star Adriana shares a similar trajectory, building a celebrated career off of a distinctive, emotive voice and starring in over a dozen films between 1977 and 1983,
