Why See Sweet Charity?
Baby, Dream your dream
A New York City dancer can't seem to catch a break as boyfriend after boyfriend turns out to be a rotten apple in this groovy Broadway classic from 1966, based on Fellini's Nights of Cabiria. Full of swinging hits and humor, enjoy the highs and lows of Charity Hope Valentine as she looks for her 'hopefully ever after'.
Written by Neil Simon with music and lyrics from Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields, Sweet Charity features a memorable score (including 'Big Spender','I'm A Brass Band' and 'If My Friends Could See Me Now') that guides the ever optimistic Charity through her misadventures to find a decent man in a city lacking in kindness. So don your miniskirts and prepare to head out on the town with Marriot Theatre's fabulously cool new production!
