Hymn Comes To Chicago

Olivier-winning playwright Lolita Chakrabarti's wonderful musing on male friendship, Hymn, makes its Chicago debut! Hymn explores the fraternal bonds between two black men in their middle age, charting the nuanced familial relationships they each hold. Premiering at London's Almeida Theatre and originally set in the UK capital, Chakrabarti has specially created a fresh adaptation tailored for CST, re-setting the play in Chicago with the city's vibrant cultural backdrop. 

Chakrabarti, renowned for her critically acclaimed works Red Velvet and the stage adaptation of Life of Pi, brings her sharp storytelling and deep character insights to this intimate and emotional journey.
