The Joffrey Ballet presents multifarious Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman's riff on the Scandinavian Midsummer celebration once more as part of the esteemed company's 2023/24 season. A delightful reverie, the dancers run wild as they enjoy the romance and mystery of the longest day of the year, a timeless Scandi tradition.
Set to an imaginative rhythm by Mikael Karlsson, we're treated to the glorious moment that the tentative line between the supernatural and the human world blurs, filling the stage with vibrance and joy as the 40 performers drink, dance, and fall in love!
