40th Anniversary Run

The sharp, whodunnit comedy that is Reunion in Bartersville makes its way to the Chicago Shakespeare Theater for a 40th-anniversary celebration run! First debuting at Brooklyn’s Billie Holiday Theatre in 1987, multi-time Tony Award winner LaChanze (Purpose) co-produces this run of Celeste Bedford Walker’s side-splitting play, directed by Jerry Dixon.

What Is The Story?

The remaining graduates of Bartersville High’s class of 1933 return to their Texas hometown for their 50th high school reunion. But what begins as a nostalgic trip down memory lane quickly spirals into a comical murder mystery, as the elderly partygoers are forced to reckon with a skeleton in the closet from their shared past. A nostalgic whodunnit farce, brought to the stage for a new generation of theater-goers.
