Finnish maestra Susanna Malkki conducts an eclectic concert that embodies "The Celestial and the Cinematic", featuring John Williams' soundtrack to Steven Spielberg's 2002 movie Catch Me If You Can. Featuring the prodigious skills of saxophone star Branford Marsalis, the program also features Bizet's Symphony in C, Faure's (arr. Colombier) Pavane for Soprano Saxophone, Melinda Wagner's world premiere of Proceed, Moon and concluding with Debussy's Iberia.In a career spanning six decades, John Williams' film scores are among the most recognisable pieces in popular culture, including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park and many more.
