One of our generation's greatest stars of classical music, Lang Lang, returns to join the Chicago Symphony Orchestra once more, continuing his and conductor Paavo Jarvi's journey through all of Beethoven's sublime Piano Concertos. This time round they'll be performing thrilling renditions of his Piano Concerto Nos. 2 and 3, with Lang Lang's profound understanding of Beethoven's creative spirit guaranteeing mature, contemplative interpretations.

The second Piano Concerto is a lively and youthful piece, showing early promise of the master's talent, while his third is noted as a dramatic turning point towards his darker middle period. Chinese-born virtuosic pianist Lang Lang garners worldwide excitement on a par with any rock star wherever he plays and, as with any of his performances with the CSO, this will certainly not be one to miss!
