An examination of how institutional power, urban bureaucracy and cold hard cash are used to shape how we deal with grief and trauma, the production is directed by Awoye Timpo and features a cast including Michael Potts, Esco Jouley, Alana Arenas, Glenn Davis, Namir Smallwood and Jon Michael Hill.

What is the story?

Eli is a grieving father in Chicago, facing the devastating aftermath of his child's death during a confrontation with the police. As he deals with his trauma, he is approached by three shady figures who offer a cynical path forward: accept a cash settlement from the city, move away, and essentially, forget it all happened. Does Eli choose the comfort of a quiet, funded exit, or the burden of staying to honor the world his child died trying to protect?
