Inconceivable!

Following years of speculation, The Princess Bride is finally heading to the stage in this brand-new musical adaptation, making its world premiere in Chicago, ahead of a Broadway bow!

A huge hit at the time of its release in 1987, The Princess Bride entered the National Film Registry in late 2016, cited as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". This much-anticipated staging is sure to be just as much of a blockbuster, with a score from by Academy Award-winning songwriting power couple Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen), and a book by the Tony-winning Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Rick Elice (Jersey Boys). Don't miss this opportunity to experience Westley's quest for his true love once more!

What Is The Story?

Based on the 1973 novel by William Goldman, The Princess Bride follows the swashbuckling adventures, trials, and tribulations of Princess Buttercup and her true love Westley. On a quest to rescue his beloved princess from the clutches of the evil Prince Humperdinck, the pair face a cast of colorful characters, including Inigo Montoya, the giant Fezzik, and Vizzini, as they attempt to reunite.
