Tony-nominated trapeze artist artist and co-founder of Montreal's acclaimed cirque troupe The 7 Fingers, Shana Carroll (Water For Elephants), brings her memoir to the stage, in the form of breathtaking cirque! Written, choreographed and directed by Carroll, The Attic: Things I've Seen While Lying On My Back sees The 7 Fingers performers telling her fascinating life story. Following her cancer diagnosis, no longer being able to perform caused Carroll to turn her attention to creating a show as breathtaking as the world has come to expect from her famed company. Mixing together high-flying cirque, dance, and music, and weaving in the reflections one has when fate constrains you to a hospital bed, has resulted is a performance that is truly moving.

Founded in Montreal in 2002, the 7 Fingers started off simply as seven different circus artists - including Carroll - pooling their different talents on stage to create dramatic circus shows to intimate audiences, showcasing the artistry of cirque as a high-concept discipline, as opposed to the bombastic extravaganzas that some other productions were becoming. However, this quickly evolved into a full multi-disciplinary collective bringing choreography, writing, directing and coaching, creating a string of highly acclaimed shows around the world.
