Formed in 1986 and discovered by Queen Latifah, New Jersey trio Naughty By Nature managed to preserve their considerable East Coast Rap street cred whilst climbing to the top of the pop charts with anthemic, melodically-driven smash hits, reaching the mainstream but keeping in touch with their hardcore rap fan base. A decade after their formation, they won the 1996 Best Rap Album Grammy for Poverty's Paradise, a landmark record that spawned well known hits 'Feel Me Flow', 'Craziest' and 'Clap Yo Hands'. Considered the biggest hip hop act of the 90s, Naughty By Nature parlayed the decade's success into a lasting, highly celebrated legacy as one of titans of rap's Golden Age era.
