Iceboy With Nick Offerman To Premiere In Chicago
Offerman Stars Opposite His Wife Megan Mullally
Chicago's Goodman Theater will hold the world premiere of the brand new musical, Iceboy! this June.
Directed by Tony Award-winning director Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes) and starring Nick Offerman (Parks and Rec) and Megan Mullally (Will and Grace) - Iceboy! follows Broadway star Vera Wimm, who decided to adopt a 40,000 year old Neanderthal from the Arctic. Vera soon comes to regret taking on her new son' as he gains attention in the theatre world, including from a certain Eugene O'Neill, who may have just found the inspiration for his masterpiece.
Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally have released to below joint statement:
"We are thoroughly excited to bring the heat of our marriage back to Chicago, the city where we both cut our theatrical teeth many years ago. Although we were hoping to mount a Tennessee Williams title, city officials reminded us that Chicago has developed an historical aversion to catching on fire and so we have agreed to this considerably less spicy but hilarious new musical called Iceboy!"
