This terrific new play by Clare Barron . . . offers a hilarious and painfully affecting blend of oddball dialogue, beautifully observed family dynamics, and a preoccupation with the weird ways of the body

This is one time where all the hype and hoopla is not only justified, but doesn't come close to suggesting the grandeur of the work on stage. A Triumph.

A work known for being cynical about love yet which has wonderful love-music; and that satirises unreliable women while showing men are hardly faultless

Winner of seven 1985 Tony Awards!

Why See Big River?

The Tony-winning musical comes to Munster!

Join Huckleberry Finn as he, his friend Jim and Tom Sawyer reunite for a thrilling trip down river, in this seven-Tony Award-winning musical that premiered during the Eighties. With a book by William Hauptman and music and lyrics by Roger Miller, it is notable for standing firm against the plethora of British musicals that opened during the same period.

Miller created the show's big hits including King of the Road and Dang Me. Themed around melodies of country, bluegrass and gospel, this extremely funny, yet harrowing river journey sees the trio meet a motley bunch of characters, imagined in Mark Twain's classic 1884 novel.
