This is one time where all the hype and hoopla is not only justified, but doesn't come close to suggesting the grandeur of the work on stage. A Triumph.

Fantasia Barrino brings her soulful voice to the stage!

Why See Fantasia Barrino?

The Incredible Fantasia Barrino!

The winner of American Idol in 2004 and star of Broadway musical The Color Purple is one of the most popular RnB artists around after hit albums and smash hit singles like 'When I See U'. Now the star heads out across the USA on tour! With influences like Arethra Franklin, Patti LaBelle and Tina Turner - there's no guessing what style of music Barrino will be. With her raspy and gritty voice, she is a woman of soul... literally!

Since winning American Idol, Barrino has sold over three million records and won numerous awards including a Grammy Award and three Billboard Awards. Another achievement of hers was being the first artist in history to achieve a number one in the Billboard charts with her first released single.

Fantasia Barrino made headlines in 2007 with her performance as Celie in the original Broadway production of The Color Purple. She took over the role from Tony-winning actress LaChanze, and proved she was capable - and then some! - of filling LaChanze's shoes.
