Spend an evening in the company of the Windy City's very own Chicago Symphony Orchestra and award winning concert pianist Denis Zozhukhin, led by popular guest conductor Jaap van Zweden. Watch and listen in awe as Zozhukhin tests his mettle during Rachmaninov's infamously difficult Second Concerto, an unassailable and epic work of genius considered to be one of the greatest works in the piano repertoire.
Comprised of a softly-starting first movement that careens with fire into the better known, soul-stirring apogee of emotion that is the second movement, and a thunderous, climactic finale, the Second Concerto is a glorious assault on the senses, as well as on the brave instrumentalists that master its technical prowess.
