Why See Holiday Inn?
It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
Nothing says the holidays like an old-fashioned musical, so get into the festive swing of things with the new Marriott Theatre revival of Irving Berlin's iconic Broadway tuner Holiday Inn, fresh from a critically acclaimed run on the Great White Way in 2016! Based on the 1942 silver screen hit of the same name, the production is packed to the rafters with hummable classics like Shaking The Blues Away and White Christmas - music to warm the hearts of even the scroogiest amongst us!
Romance, as well as yuletide spirit, is very much in the air in this uplifting Christmas-time tale. Jim, betrayed by his entertainment partners when ex-paramour Lila falls for Ted the dancer in the act, quits the biz to run a country hotel, but just can't seem to shake his past. When he meets spirited school teacher Linda, his love of the theatre is renewed, along with a budding romance, and the pair turn his farmhouse into a holidays-only entertainment venue. But when Ted arrives, old rivalries are re-ignited with Linda slap-bang in the middle.
Opening night: 7 November 2018

This is one time where all the hype and hoopla is not only justified, but doesn't come close to suggesting the grandeur of the work on stage. A Triumph.
