FOOTLOOSE WAS AMAZING

The talent of the cast members seemed boundless. Their energy was contagious. It’s fun to leave the theater with smiles on our faces and we did that.

ONE OF THE BEST MUSICALS WE HAVE SEEN AT THE MARRIOTT, A PURE JOY TO SEE!

My wife and I saw the play on a Wednesday evening and thought it was a totally amazing production in music, voices, dance, and set. I also loved the chemistry of the actors and their diversity. Although I found the first Act a bit slow, I truly believe it had to be in order to set the stage for what was to come. More than once, I thought the actors were going to manage to get us all on stage. Given our political situation, the music and musical made me totally forget the nightmare in which we live. When I read some of the reviews here, I cringed and was reminded that we all view things differently, but that you must also read reviews and take them all with a certain grain of salt.

DISAPPOINTING!

Once again the Marriott casts above average talent in a poorly-wrought show. This seems to happen every couple seasons. The show was well sung and danced, but the story line was awful. There was a lack of connection between the leads. Hard to believe that this was an overwhelming choice to be brought back. It’s also tough to follow a smash like Million Dollar Quartet.

FOOTLOOSE

The Marriott typically has fantastic talent. Not so much in this play. the 1st half is a real sleeper. The 2nd half picks up. the lead role is weak in singing and nothing to write home about in dancing. The Female lead is FANTASTIC! wow, sing, dance, act. The supporting cast is Ok.

YOU CAN SLEEP AT HOME FOR FREE

I WANTED to like it. But didn't. The other reviews are dead on. The lead actor was boring. The plot boring, and the stage lacked anything. Did not care for it. Glad the tickets were given to me.

EVERYBODY CUT LOOSE...AT INTERMISSION

Hard to know where to begin. The ridiculous costumes that looked as if someone once vaguely described the 80s to the customer designer while drunk? The lackluster singing? The mediocre dancing? The bare expanse of boring stage with almost no sets? Maybe instead we should start with the inexplicable decision to write a full Playbill page of text summarizing the entire plot of the show, including character motivations and plot twists. Guys.. don't put it in the program - put it on the stage! Been a season subscriber for years, and every couple of years there's a total clunker we can't even finish. Hopefully we've gotten that out of our system this season with this truly abysmal production of Footloose .
