THEY STILL GOT IT

I saw Def tonight in Ontario Ca. Got there about 40 mins latr, had my 3 kids with me and dinner out took longer than expected. Saw the last 50 mins of the show, about 8 songs. They still got it! Pour Some Sugar and Photograph were my favorites. Vocals were...well not as great as they were 20 yrs ago when I last same em, but damn still rocking it. My 7, 11, and 13 yo all liked it, it was there first concert. I'll never forget my first show and I hope tonight will be the same cool memory for them, with there dad. If u get a chance go see these dudes.

EXCELLENT EVENING OF MUSIC

Went to see these bands in the Colorado Springs last week. It is pretty great. It was a mini Pepsi center type arena. Meaning – it is shaped and functioned exactly like a 20,000 seat basketball/hockey venue… but was maybe 60% the size. The sound was incredible, btw. It was unusually good for an indoor venue. We were high and wide to the left, but everything sounded just perfect all night. The only time the sound suffered was during the headliners, but that was the fault of the band... and (believe it or not) I think it was very willfully completely washed out for them. Started with Tesla. Hadn’t seen them before. It was good, and exactly what I expected. A short set, about 45 minutes. That is common for an opener on an opener. I knew about 4 of the 10 songs. They played my favorite song, Little Suzi… and they phoned it in magnificently. What do I mean by that? Well, they chopped off the beautiful and delicate and perfect acoustic intro. I get it, we are short on time

POISON BLEW THE DOORS OFF, TESLA ALWAYS GOOD...DEF LEPPARD..

Have seen Def 20 times in my life. There was a point years ago when it was clear Joe Elliot just lost his voice and it never came back. I have seen them 3 to 4 times since then. always saying I'll never see them again. Don't get me wrong - LOVE DEF LEPPARD. It's just time to admit the magic is not there. The guitars are still awesome though. Now Poison - wow. Was blown away. The energy and fun the were having was apparent the whole set. And Brett Michaels interaction and hand slaps with the audience were just - nice. Their sound, energy etc...made the show. Was worth the ticket price right there. Have always loved Tesla and always will. Jeff Keith is one of the top vocalists in the biz - they just had a short and hurried set. You need to see them as a headliner - at an outside show to really appreciate them!
