There’s some good elements, but overall the music is relatively boring. The lyrics are repetitive. That said, the most memorial line was something like: “When I killed a man , people loved me. But when I loved a man, people wanted to kill me.” The highlight performance was by Emile’s mother. The set was amazing. I would not take a child to see this opera.
