with their feet. A large contingent left at the first intermission. A larger one left at the second intermission. Music was fine. Only two worthwhile singers. Stage direction was awful and offensive. If the Lyric wanted to be experimental, it should have used transaction staging and had Ariodante sung in a lower octive by a man. Don't waste your time.
