Things look a whole lot different backstage...
Celebrated playwright Moss Hart's Light Up The Sky brings the glitz and glamour of the stage, and the not-so-elegant backstage goings-on, to Chicago's Citadel Theatre this Fall. Egos clash and props fail in the exciting comedy revival by the Citadel Company is the ultimate tribute to the drama, magic and craziness of the theatre world.
Penned in 1948, Hart's veritable play-within-a-play follows a colorful ensemble of characters, including the magnetic leading lady, her outlandish mother, the hopeful and hopeless young playwright and the stressed out director as they attempt to open a pre-Broadway tryout in Boston. Of course, things don't quite go to plan on opening night and hijinks ensue as the cast turns on each other...
