Why See The House Theatre of Chicago: The Nutcracker?
Nutcracker, but not as you know it
The Chopin Theatre once again plays host to this marvelously merry family production of the Christmas classic - with not a ballet shoe in sight. That's right, its The House Theatre of Chicago's energetic re-imagining of The Nutcracker.
A throughly modern yet no less magical holiday show, join courageous Clara on a daring adventure to save Christmas from the clutches of the dastardly Rat King. Bursting with heart, humor, original song, dance and puppetry, this is the Nutcracker, but not as you know it. So if you've got some irrepressible little ones (or a Grinch or two) in your family group, you won't go far wrong with this show. And did we mention? It's fully ballet free!
