Terrific, but missed audience interaction

Trevor Noah was very clever and funny as in his videos and on television. We had front row seats, and he looked great - right down to his pink shoelaces. He makes eye contact with his audience - truly seems to appreciate us. He talked a great deal about his tour of Germany and of France - astute and witty remarks. I read in other reviews that he did a great deal of taking questions and interacting with the audience. He did none of that at our show - I would have enjoyed that - maybe next time! We very much enjoyed his opening act who was very funny and did interact with the audience. When he found out that we had been married for fifty years, he made us feel very special! It was a terrific evening with the entertainers. The ushers and the lady in charge the night that we attended needed to remember that we paid premium prices for our tickets and deserved to be treated politely. I hope that Trevor Noah plays a different venue next time he is in Chicago. I will definitely see him again, but would prefer not to return to this theater. ... Read more

He was who I thought he was

Hilarious! Good blend of topics, one liners, ad lib and of course bashing of the political hypocrisy which is Trump. I love comedy but am picky about who I go see. I include him on a short list in my lifetime that includes Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Tommy Davidson and Steve Harvey. But a comedy show is a good night out in downtown Phoenix. Pre show at Arrogant Butcher, and post at Squid Ink. ... Read more
