Once upon a time there was a fairytale musical
Music Theatre Works lay on something special for the holidays with this brand new production of Stephen Sondheim's famed 1987 classic.
A twisted and enthralling re-imagining of our favorite fairytale characters that delves into their lives, loves, hopes (and wishes), uncovering the dark side of happily-ever-after, Into the Woods is full of Sondheim's signature lyrical flights, set to an extraordinary book by James Lapine.
Through songs such as Children Will Listen, No One Is Alone, It Takes Two and more, the magical realm we thought we knew comes to life in an unexpectedly moving and totally unforgettable way as a baker and his wife, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Jack (of Beanstalk fame) head into a mysterious and enigmatic forest in search of their dreams.
