GREAT FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT!!

Great old fashioned entertainment without sex, gutter language or any bias undertones! Costumes were festive, scenes were warm and inviting with an overall "feel-good" tone. My brother, sister and I enjoyed every moment. Only helpful hint would be for them to turn up the volume on the mic's (although it could just be my hearing-we were in the balcony). The collective audience was MERRY and we actually got to sing along with "White Christmas!" Hope we can go again next year!! (have to mention tap dancing was EXCELLENT)!!

WONDERFUL SHOW ON DATE NIGHT WITH MY WIFE

Not a bad seat in the house, wide aisles for the size of the venue. Seats are a bit narrow. One arm rest for two arms can be a challenge. We went to see White Christmas and it was wonderful. The cast did a fine job in their adaptation. The dancing was fantastic. We loved seeing the tap dancing, a dieing art. Several families of all age groups made it a pleasant experience for all. Then we went to a local resturant, Theos, to finish our date night with a great meal and drinks. Why go to Chicago and deal with the traffic, parking and other issues when we have it in our back yard!! Highly recommend this to everyone of all ages.

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY EVENT

I saw the show in NJ with some original cast members from the Broadway cast. The tapping in this show is amazing. The fact that they can sing while tapping and not miss a beat (literally) is jaw dropping. It is a great way to begin the Holiday season and if you are fortunate enough to have Meredith Patterson as Judy, then you are in for a real treat! I am definitely going to get tickets to the show in Baltimore and take my family and friends.

White Christmas was wonderful. Taking the show to the Hobby Center was a perfect choice of venue. A strong connection to the original White Christmas complete with snow. Singing and dancing to enjoy. Merry Christmas

PANTAGES / WHITE CHRISTMAS

I saw the White Christmas show with my 11 y.o. son. We both really liked it - fantastic. Pantages theatre is a great work of art in its own right. We had front row seats on the balcony, which were fantastic. Didn't much like being constantly hustled for money on Hollywood Blvd though.

DISAPPOINTING ENDING

White Christmas is a true classic and I realized that some things would change in a stage production, but I was disappointed in the ending. Much more effort was put into the first act and the second act was somewhat of a let down. The story was told, but not always in the right order. Some characters were added and I didn't feel they were necessary to the story line. There were some significant changes in how the story was told that took away from the overall premise. The addition of the tap dance numbers were great and they were appropriate. The saga of Phil and Judy and the fake engagement was eliminated. The granddaughter was a nine year old child and not a teenager. The biggest disappointment to me was the scene with the general near the end. Very little was made of the efforts of the all the men to come to Vermont at Christmas to honor their former general. This is the most poignant scene in the movie and it was not given any precedence in the production at all.

ACTORS DID A GREAT JOB, THE WRITERS RUINED IT!

I love the movie with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. I watch it a number of times each season. So I was excited to see it was being done at the Kennedy Center. After having just seen the performance I am watching the movie again. The actors did a great job (especially the little girl) but why did the writers change SO much. They took out some of the best numbers, revised the ending and changed big things (like Wallace and Davis get on a train - in the movie they are headed to Radio City in NYC from Florida; in the production they are headed to Florida supposedly Wallace accepts it that everyone is over dressed for Florida)! I enjoyed it but would have liked it better if the writers had stayed true to the actual story.

GOOD PERFORMANCE/ DANCING- INCORRECT SCRIPT/STORY

The performers are great. Problem is the script is wrong--used wrong names, incorrect story line-- if you are going to do a play about a movie, then get the story line correct. Use the music/songs from the movie, too.

UNDERWHELMING

I've seen a lot of shows on Broadway in NYC. I've seen lot of shows in my small town local theater as well. This was around $85 and I've seen much better productions in my home town for under $15. The iconic song "Sisters" was performed almost entirely in unison. I expected lead actresses to be able to harmonize their parts true to the way the song was written at minimum. The supporting cast performed better than the lead characters vocally and danced much better too. Lorna Luft saved the show with her outstanding performance as the concierge, Martha Watson. The set was minimalistic. The actress playing Betty kept doing a weird thing with the volume and projection of her voice during her solo that just sounded odd and served no purpose. Vocally that made absolutely no sense. Judy was plain, flat, boring. Her costumes were drab and her presence was nothing special. I expected Judy to be the star. The DPAC was very nice, though!

DISAPPOINTING TO SAY THE LEAST

Saw this in Tulsa 11/16/13. Although the dancing, music, and singing were good,(not exceptional, but good)the play was awful. You can't take a classic like White Christmas and change it-ruins the whole thing. If I hadn't have paid so much for the tickets, I would have left. To many changes were made: grand daughter a lot younger and she starts reading the letter to her grandfather, and then she also wants to get into the show (like Lucy in "I love Lucy), instead of "Snow" being sung by the 4 main character's, it was sung by strangers, General gets a second letter saying he is accepted back into the military, the end, where they come out and all sing White Christmas-not much time was spent on this scene and not even sure White Christmas was sung in full-costumes were not good either. These are just a few of the changes and disappointments of the show. Really upset that we paid so much money for a lousy show.

DID NOT DO THE MOVIE JUSTICE - WAY TOO MANY CHANGES.

I just saw the musical in St. Louis. I agree with the other reviews, too many changes. If you are interested in seeing White Christmas, rent the movie. The story does not follow the movie, too many changes to list. But must frustrating was the musical did not include all of the songs from the movie, and worst, they added at least 4 that were from other movies. AND what in the world was up with the Farmer who was on stage almost more than the leads. Don't waste you time or money!

WHITE CHRISTMAS FOX THEATER ATLANTA

The production of White Christmas was extremely disappointing. I love attending the theater and I consider it a privilege. However the sets, acting, dancing and music was not to the calliber that I would have expected for this production at the Fox.

DISAPPOINTING

After 28 years as Broadway season ticket holders at The Fox Atlanta, this was about the worst show we have seen. Dull, plodding, boring, and oh so predictable. The most cringe worthy jokes. Singing was just so so. Dancing was just so so. Cast was mostly just average, certainly not on par with what we usually see at The Fox. We left at intermission and glad we did. We heard from friends that the second act was even worse than the first. We do not enjoy giving bad reviews, but hopefully we can prevent someone else from wasting their money.

GREAT PERFORMANCES

Performers were very talented, however set decoration, costuming, choreography and production left me confused and disappointed. Adaptation of story was off putting. Looking forward to high points of the story line and most were missing. Would not recommend!

BLUE CHRISTMAS

Loved the Bing Crosby movie so hoped this play would be good. Sets were high school and so was the play. Singing and dancing were average to poor. The 2 annoying, bimbo ladies were not necessary...Was this an attempt at humor, for who? So disappointed, we left at intermission. Paid so much money for the tickets and went on Christmas Eve...huge let down.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING

I've enjoyed most of the touring company shows at the PAC immensely over the past 20 years. However, "White Christmas" was a train wreck. The biggest problem was the book of the show. The producers clearly chose to stray from the plot and characters from the film, but the changes were bad ones -- from almost eliminating the army sequence at the beginning to materially enlarging the parts of the housekeeper (who turns out to have been in show business!) and the young girl, Susan(who suddenly turns into Lucille Ball and wants to be in the show!). There were also some odd choices in staging the songs. In the film, "Snow" is a small intimate number where the four lead characters blend their talents and we see that they belong together. In the play, it's an ensemble number sung with strangers. Some of the costuming choices were odd as well (red tuxedos for the closing scene instead of Santa outfits!). The tap dancing was great and the singing was fine, but no one matches Bing.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I paid two hundred and fifty dollars to sit in the second row. What a waste of time and money. I've seen many plays at the fifth avenue that were incredible. This was semi sloppy almost high school like. How dare they present a production as underwhelming as this. It never took off in fact it kept dive bombing. They definitely spent very little money on the sets. Please save your money this year it is definitely not worth your time or money. Trust me.
