WOW. WOW WOW

I loved this band for a few years now and really looked forward to seeing them live. I was in the handicapped section in the second row the band was tight and the guitar solos were spot on. Bring a guitar player I really appreciated seeing him play up close. The sound at pier 17 was loud enough with a clean mix that sounded like a high fidelity system even up front. Again wow. See them live and be satisfied. Even the opening band was great

OMG

I knew the show would be good, but not THAT good. The sound was killer, even better that the studio versions, and the performances, light show, pro - all exceptional. This ain’t your typical “country” act. Not lap steel player in sight. Place, I’m sure, was filled with guitar players there to check out John in person and, man, did he deliver. Not a bum note the entire set (and I was listening). And TJ was fantastic as well, sang brilliantly. They played all the songs on my Spotify playlist (I think I f-ed up the algorithm by over-listening). My only gripe was that it didn’t go on for another 2 hours. Hope they come to OC where the serious country fans live so I don’t have to trek to LA next time.

TOO SHORT

(First, and this isn't the bands fault, be prepared to stand for hours, especially if you want a decent spot.) The band was very tight, with a loud bass beat driving it. They cover most of their hits and even cover some songs. Don't leave before the encore. It's the perfect cap to an amazing show.

TOO LOUD, DISTORTED

In an acoustic paradise somebody managed to make what might have been a great concert unbearable by being way too loud and distorted.
