An Interesting play on politics
Small town politics--as the old saying goes--everything is personal. We watch as the group gets dramatic and funny, search for the history of the city's passed minutes as well as the not-quite-truthful-history of the town. Everyone gets involved yet no real stand-out individual performances. Odd and funny ending--but that's politics. I saw this play and a little known movie "The Florida Project" the same weekend. See "The Florida Project"--both end in a jarring, unexpected way that will make you think with the movie being so much better. Seats are available at theater. Would not take kids. Not really a play to make a great night in Chicago. Not disappointed but not completely excited about it.
