Fogerty at Ravinia
It was a great show, one of the best. John himself had the energy of a person 25. He did most of his old songs both from CCR and solo. He also did some new songs and they sounded great. Unlike his sons band in the opening act, you could hear and understand the words. His sons when they played with John showed the old man taught them well. I hope to see him again. Just a great show.
Read the reviews. It was that good!
I grew up in the late 60s-early 70s in New Orleans. I do not remember ever seeing a concert this good and when I had this much fun. The best part is John living his best life on stage with his sons. Here's the kicker...an older gentleman on our row could hardly even walk to his seat w/o assistance...But, he was dancing some sort of a jig at Proud Mary. Do not miss this tour!

John Fogerty - Ageless Star
Excellent entertainment by a Rock n Roll legend brilliantly supported by a very talented band which included two of John Fogerty’s sons. All the old CCR hits played as well as ever. Had the full house ‘Bowl’ rapt for the duration and calling for more. Really enjoyed Fogerty’s engagement with audience with family (including dog) contribution acknowledging recent challenging times but also reflecting on significant events that shaped his career. Fogerty claimed that he was a lucky man for doing what he does, I would say we are ‘fortunate sons ‘ (and daughters) that he remains such a compelling musician, singer, composer, and entertainer. Thanks for a brilliant show at such an iconic venue.
What a great performer!
Went to the show last night and it was great! You could tell he was doing it for the fun, not the money. Playing onstage with his sons must have been great for him. I particularly liked the way he involved the audience with getting them to sing and telling his stories. At 77 he can still rock the house!
