Britney Spears Jukebox Musical Delays Run

Now playing in April 2020.

The Britney Spears jukebox musical Once Upon A One More Time has announced that it will be delaying its world premiere run in Chicago until April 2020.

Originally scheduled to run at the Nederlander Theatre in November this brand new musical, written by Jon Hartmere, features hits like "Toxic", "Stronger", "Oops I Did It Again", to name but a few, as it creates a modern re-telling of the classic fairytale Princess stories.

As well as its premiere in Chicago Once Upon A One More Time is also eying a Broadway run, the details of which will be announced in due course. Directed by Kristin Hanggi Once Upon A One More Time is choreographed by Keone and Mari Madrid.

What is Once Upon A One More Time about?

As the fairytale princesses gather for their regular book club they are amazed when a rogue fairy godmother drops The Feminine Mystique into their corseted laps. Accompanied by songs like "Baby One More Time", "Toxic" and "Gimme More" the princesses realise that there is more to life than true love's first kiss and pretty ball gowns. Looking at the challenges, choices and charms of 'Happily Ever After' Once Upon A One More Time is a tongue-in-cheek and jubilant exploration of the search for happiness, perfect for the 2019 audience!

Once Upon A One More Time will play at the Nederlander Theatre from April 14 through to May 17.
