Love makes everything real in this joyful musical fable
The much-loved children's story by Margery Williams comes to magical, sparkling life at the Marriott Theatre this summer, in a new musical production aimed specifically for younger audiences. The story of a young boy and his cuddly toy rabbit, this heartwarming tale examines the journey to a modest and self-effacing toy make a journey to become real through the love of his young owner, with all the fun but also pain that it entails.
When a simple toy rabbit is outshone and outplayed with in the nursery, he goes on a journey of self-discovery, learning in the process what makes each toy special. Whilst the other toys in the nursery remain boastful of their individual bond with the boy, our rabbit inevitably consoles them when they break, or become forgotten in turn, never once becoming bitter.
An uplifting tale of love, loss and personal redemption, this is a great story to teach kids about self-esteem and family bonds. With a talented cast from the Marriott Theatre, this musical production features specially written showtunes including What if Wishes Came True and Sparkle In His Eyes, arranged by Broadway composer Jimmy Roberts.
