Feel the seductive heat of Argentina as we watch Eva rise from humble beginnings to become the darling of the country as the wife of president Juan Peron. Fuelled by soaring ballads, exquisite Latin dance and heartbreaking melodies, this Tony Award-winning musical has withstood the test of time to become one of the most popular musicals in the world.
Eva's passionate and tragic story from rags to riches and political prowess features some of the best-loved Broadway ballets of love including "Don't Cry for Me Argentina", "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and "High Flying Adored," together with "You Must Love Me", the Oscar-winning hit from the movie that starred Madonna in the lead role. The musical originally started life as a rock opera concept album in 1976 with Julie Covington as Eva, soon becoming a world-wide hit.
