Three enchanting pieces from the Joffrey.
Balanchine's Prodigal Son, Tudor's Lilac Garden and Possokhov's RAkU make up Joffrey Ballet's Stories in Motion, showcasing the three works with the talent, dexterity and creativity we've come to expect from Chicago's finest ballet company.
Based on the Gospel of Luke: A tearaway son leaves his parents in search of adventure and ends up delving into sin and vice. His journey takes him back to his father, who learns to forgive.

A young woman is engaged to marry; but her heart desires another. This Edwardian set piece details the last illicit meeting of the lovers before she ventures into a life of innate sadness

As Kyoto's Golden Pavilion burns, this historic tale unfolds in front of it. A princess and a warrior face treachery and tragedy as their budding love is infiltrated by the jealousy of a monk who will stop at nothing to claim his prize.
