A rising star, Thatcher has been steadily creating new works alongside his tenure as a member of San Francisco Ballet's Corps De Ballet. Working under the mentorship of ABT's Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, he is becoming well known for his fearless approach and dynamism.
World Premiere
Choreography: Annabelle Lopez Orchoa
Music: Michael Gordon
Taking her inspiration from art and music and not exclusively the world of dance, Orchoa has created numerous works for companies worldwide. Her abstract approach, combined with classical virtuosity is able to elicit powerful emotions from the audience and has come to be known as her calling card.
Fool's Paradise
Choreography: Christopher Wheeldon
Music: Joby Talbot
A romantic score is beautifully complemented by structural tableaux in Christopher Wheeldon' exquisite Fool's Paradise. As Talbot's music takes mysterious turns, the choreography blends classical technique with modern sensibility as golden petals rain down, illuminating the dancers.
